I'll be the first to admit my baby boy is spoiled. His sisters are (mostly) limited to 5 dolls or stuffed animals in their bed to sleep with. This is bear with all his "friends". Clockwise from the left we have Mr. No Name (fuzzy brown/orange guy), Baby Brother (cabbage Patch), Duffalo (small buffalo), Bunny Boo Boo (thumper), Percy Pet (green train), "My Puppy!", Rainbow Armadillo (yellow pointed faced thing). He is holding Monkey George.
Believe it or not, he has added another stuffed puppy, and a stuffed bumblebee (they don't really have names) and a yucky, squishy frog with rubbery, sticky skin (also not named) to this collection. My puppy got kicked out when Bear discovered how to turn him back on and make him talk all night.
In addition to his "friends" (that's what he calls them, as in "Mommy, get all my friends so I can go to bed!"), he sleeps with his Thomas blanket, and at least two cuddly blankets. I try to hide the other two, but he usually finds them.
And the hat? That was a $2 clearance find that he wore for 3-4 days straight. It's an adult hat because he has such a giant noggin :)

Boys and their OCD sleeping routines. Thomas used to have to have five blankets (regardless of the season) and they all had to be in the right order. He had to have two squishy pillows pressed against his cheeks and he had to be holding his "quarneys" (cross between quarters and pennies. He didn't care which he had as long as there was one for each hand.
It's nice to know it isn't just my kid that is weird. ;-) Also, him referring to his toys as his friends reminds me that Janie refers to her princess dolls as her girls. I am so excited to see that boy this summer.
Amelia calls her stuffed animals her 'friends' as well. The hat reminded me of a phase Mia went through when she was about that age where she had to wear a grey beanie and a chef's hat on top of that, that went on for a few months. It was the strangest thing ever, but when we did it, she was totally content and went right to sleep.
The things we do to get them to sleep, eh?
