Tulip Festival 2011

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival with Papper and Cyndi and her kids. It was a beautiful warm day and the best tulips we've seen any year of the festival (one year we went and there were hardly any open).

The girls were more concerned with running around and having fun with their cousins than getting their pictures taken with pretty flowers. Luckily I have a willing (and captive) model so that is why the pictures this year are bear-heavy. Besides- look at that face! He's adorable!

EJ got a flower from a boy in her class (sigh). All Birdy wanted in the world was a boy to give her a flower. Cyndi's son T came through and gave her one that had fallen on the ground (really). She was THRILLED. Also, as you can see, Birdy felt the Sleeping Beauty dress was essential to the trip to the garden.

The koi fish were actually hungry this time. Most of the time when we go to the gardens they are stuffed full and not interested in eating at all!

Birdy and T spent most of the time walking around the gardens hand-in-hand.

This was our fourth year and by far the prettiest!
