It's hard to believe that my baby girl is already 6! She is such a happy, imaginative, and energetic girl and we are so glad she is ours! Lately, I've been so impressed with how well she takes care of and is a friend to her baby brother. Bear LOVES his birdy and she is great about making up little games for him to play. They will often play all afternoon at some game or another in his room.
Recently, we were watching the Z littles- G, who is 2 1/2 and J, who is 15 months. Birdy got home from school and promptly herded them into the play room and supervised games and playing with them for 2 hours. It gave me a much needed break and she had a blast.
She still has a great imagination and is very creative. She love to make up (and perform) songs and stories, and she is always asking crazy questions. She is a "thinker" and really takes in the world around her and is surprisingly perceptive. She is very sensitive to being the "middle" and is always on alert in case the other kids get something or get to do something she doesn't :) She can't wait to be more "grown up" like her big sis so she can go to Activity Days and read chapter books.
This girl still loves to dress up and has a definite sense of style. She prefers to wear dresses or skirts more than anything else, but she can be persuaded to wear pants sometimes, too. She is super excited to have short hair, because she can brush and style it all by herself. I have a hard time letting me do her hair lately- she is very independent.
She is doing really well at school. She is learning to read and loves numbers and math. She likes recess best, but also loves her art teacher and class. She is always talking about different artists and art that they talk about in class or that is hanging up in the halls. She was super thrilled when she FINALLY got 5 green smiley faces (good behavior) in a row and got to go on a date with Mom to Braums for an ice cream cone!
No matter how grown up she gets, I still think she is this little drooley, crazy-curly-haired girl!

I love her new haircut, but I do miss the wild, curly toddler Wren hair :-) It was so her!
