Even though it was EJ who was begging for a kitten, it has been Birdy who has been her buddy. Birdy plays with her every day, makes sure she is fed, and looks out for her. She likes to carry her around (Luna doesn't seem to mind) and they snuggle in the mornings. It is so, so great for Birdy to have a friend to love and take care of.
Luna likes to tease Ollie a lot, but they have settled into being good buddies. She chases his tail (that he twitches just for her) and he licks and grooms her. They nap together on my bed every afternoon. The only time she wants to sit on my lap is during naptime when I'm checking email and have a dozen things to get done while Bear sleeps. It makes it hard to get up and do the dishes!
But best of all is when Bear plays with her. He finds one of her foil balls on a string and runs with it trailing behind him. Baby + Kitten = Adorable!
BTW- Jenn asked how she got her name. We picked "Luna" because it was short, easy and fun to say, and it was a "night" name since she's a black kitty. The inspiration came from Mommy just finishing up the Harry Potter series :)
