Since January, EJ has been invited to a couple of "friend" birthday parties- mostly girls from school. Each party starts with an invitation to be proudly shown to Mom and Dad, soon followed by picking and wrapping a present. Then EJ goes away and comes home with a goody bag.
Birdy hasn't seemed too concerned that she hasn't been included in these events. It helps that at one of the parties her sweet older sister noticed there was an extra favor bag for a kid who couldn't come and asked if she could give it to her little sister :)
It wasn't until we got an invitation for their cousin Sarah's party in the mail that I realized how much she had been paying attention and wanted to go to a party too. We opened the mermaid-themed invitation and the girls read it with me eagerly. When she found out she was invited, too, Birdy kept saying "I can come too! I get to come to the party?!" She carried the invite around for a couple of days and told us a couple of times that she gets to go to a party, too. It is very sweet and cute to see how excited she is to be included in such a "big girl" activity!

We would never leave out our Wrenny! I'm busily converting the outdoor swim party into an indoor dry version--thanks a lot, expected 67 degree Utah weather! :-(
Speaking of, we saved two goody bags for your girls from Janie's party. We'll bring them on Saturday.
Awww...so cute!
