Cody Comes Home!

This handsome dude came home from his mission in Brazil last week. We went to Idaho Falls to hear his mission report (and celebrate his birthday!). It is so amazing to see how much he's grown and changed in the last two years! It is good to have him home.
Since we were in town, we also got to have a baby shower for my niece Nichole to welcome her brand-spankin' new daughter Emma. This is DMP's sister Kathy and our niece (Nichole's little sis) Courtney.
I also got to meet this adorable great-niece for the first time- this is Kadri, and she is Kira & Tim's little girl. She lives in AZ and I was tempted to take her home with us! She is chewing on the adorable tutu Aunt Tennille made. She made one for all of the girls. Birdy didn't take hers off practically the entire time we were there!
Here is the new mommy and little less-than-one-week-old baby Emma. As you can see, she isn't much bigger than a bread stick (and oh-so-sweet!).
Those of us who came from out of town stayed in the same "home-tel" (as the girls call it) so the cousins got to go swimming together. Kudos to the daddies for getting in the pool and playing with them!
Keeping up with this one (David) was especially tricky- this kid has no fear of the water and apparently thinks he can swim!
EJ is a little fish (or maybe mermaid?) she will swim under water and doesn't even need to plug her nose. She did really, really well. We are ready for swim lessons next week!
This is my newest niece (not great-niece) Mallory. She is so stinkin' adorable in her cute leopard tutu dress. Whoever gave it to her has excellent taste :)
It was so good to see everyone on this too-short trip. It was especially fun to see the girls & spouses who drove up from AZ. I didn't get any pics of Janelle and Brian's kiddos (bummer!) but Birdy has found a kindred spirit in Hailey- they are both "girly girls" who played princesses quietly all through church! I love seeing all of the cousins playing together and running around in a pack! If only we all lived closer and could do this more often!
After all the fun was over, we had to make the long-ish drive back home. Birdy crashed but still wouldn't let go of the flowers she picked to "save for her wedding day." She came running into the house with the little bouquet and someone asked "Are those for your Mommy?". She scornfully replied "No, they are mine!" That's our girl :)
