Texodus: Sacajewea Center

Papper and Carola (our new niece-by-marriage) joined us for a fun visit to the Sacajewea center. If you are ever in or near Salmon, you have to go.  We learned so much about the local Shoshone tribe and the Corps of Discovery mission. It was especially fun because I picked up an excellent biography of Merriweather Lewis that I was reading.
The visitor's center had little colored pencil and paper kits that you could check out.  The girls and Carola were really excited to sit and draw some of the things they saw. The girls liked it so much we got some of our own art supplies and went back that evening to draw.

At the end of the trail, there were a bunch of baby horses! So stinkin' cute!
