Happy 39th DMP!

 DMP had a birthday- the big 3-9! Only one more year to enjoy his 30's and then he'll have to be a real adult. I'm hoping he decides to get a Mustang when he starts shopping for a mid-life crisis car :)  The kids had a lot of fun shopping at the Dollar store for presents. Bear was especially excited about the "fork" he gave to Daddy!

I understand that having a DMP is like having another large child, so he also got some neat light-up lego-type things. They were a lot of fun and kept all 4 of my kids amused for the whole icy weekend!

DMP's birthday also happened to fall on day 1 of the Great Ice Storm, so we decided to take a chance and see if our gas fireplace seemed to be working- just in case our electricity went out and we had to use it for heat. Plus, it's pretty!

Bear helped me make the cake and all the kids frosted and decorated it.  Birdy was genuinely concerned that we were going to burn the house down because of all the candles and wouldn't go in the room with them until he blew them out :)
