There was a little girl who had a little curl...

...Right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very, very good and when she was bad she was horrid!

This nursery rhyme describes Birdy to a "T". DMP and I always refer to her as our "100% kid". There is no middle ground with her- she's either 100% happy and sunny or 100% grumpy and she can switch between the two with dizzying speed!

Boy, when she is sunshine she is such a delight. She is so funny and has just started to tell coherent stories about things that happen to her. Everything in her world is fun and exciting and she doesn't hesitate to show it.

Anyone who has witnessed the patented "Birdy scowl" knows what an amazing thing this grumpy girl can be. She will go from "just fine" to full-on kicking and screaming on the floor hissy fit in 1 second flat. She is stubborn, independent, and has a very definate opinion on how things in her life should go. I'm sure these traits will serve her well as she grows up, but it makes for a very challenging time parenting her. Her motto is that boundaries and rules were made to be tested!

She is my cuddly kid- she loves to snuggle on our laps and give plenty of hugs and kisses- even just in passing. She loves dressing up and can rarely be found playing at home without one of her "princess" dresses on. She loves babies and likes to take care of them (i.e. take away their paci's and try to feed them things) she also takes care of any kid that is smaller than her.

Birdy is so smart- she talks so well and acts so big that sometimes we forget that she's really still little. She uses crazy-big words for her age and does it correctly! She idolizes her big sister and wants to do everything just like her. We took her to get her birthday pictures and she had to be barefoot- just like EJ was for hers!

We are so very glad that she is a part of our family! Happy 3rd Birthday, Birdy!!!
