In January, EJ participated in the K-3 Science Fair. It was a lot of fun and we are so proud of her! She came up with the idea for her project all by herself. We talked about a lot of options from the internet and she finally said "What if we got rocks and dirt and saw what happens when we pour water through them?
That's just what we did. EJ and DMP worked together to come up with her hypothesis and decide how to test it out. Then we all worked together to create a display. EJ got a gold medal ("It's gold, REAL gold, Mom!") and ribbons for her project.
She got to show off her project at the family science night where a chemistry professor (a girl scientist!) came from BYU to showed some fun science experiments.

Yay EJ! She's so smart, I wouldn't be surprised if she became a girl scientist herself.
