Stay-cation with Grandma and Papper- Pt. 1

We had intended to go to Yellowstone for KFR '09 this weekend, but it kind of fell through in the last month. Since we found we had some time off of work, we decided to have a "stay-cation" (I hate that word, btw) and explore the world around us. We invited Grandma and Papper, DMP's parents to join us since it also happened to be their birthday's (the 2nd and 4th).
Our first adventure was to visit the Thanksgiving Point gardens. It was beautiful and the weather was cool and clear- perfect for fall garden exploring. We fed the giant Koi who were starving because of the lack of visitors.
Birdy read the map and told us how to get places.

The best part was that we rented a golf cart to get around. It was super fun. I think this picture below is what Birdy is going to be like when she gets a real car- complete with elephant blanket. The whole crew overlooking the garden:
Then it was home for baths and stories with Grandma!
