December Highlights!

Did you miss me? I should have been smart like my wiser big sister Jenn and just signed off for the month. But isn't the Christmas season all about guilt for the things you aren't doing (or haven't done)?

Fortunately, I wasn't feeling much guilt for anything. Coughing, sneezing, fever, snotty nose and vomit, yes, guilt? Nope. Our family first passed around a cold and a very special two-days-of-vomit bug for most of December. It didn't leave much time for Christmas fun (or guilt).

Never fear, though, in between the sick (or sometimes during) we still managed to have some fun!
DMP got older!

Uncle Don and Aunt Susanne visited on their way home from AZ! EJ got to show off her reading skills to Aunt Susanne.

Thanks to my kind friend Majbrit, the girls got to decorate gingerbread houses. Let me tell you, this wasn't going to happen without her and her creative "Up" themed birthday party for her son (that the girls had to skip because of their colds).
Note the different decorating styles. Birdy was done in 30 seconds and mostly just ate the frosting. EJ took about an hour with her careful frosting-ing.
To top it all off, we got to see this little elf perform in her preschool Christmas program. She rocked!

Finally! The elf pix is the kind that is burned in your memory at programs. Her eyes and smiles say it all.
