On Christmas Eve, we were at Grandma and Grandpa's house visiting. Uncle Jeff was there as well, and we were all having a lovely time. Uncle Brad arrived after he finished working, and Birdy became confused. She was sitting with Jeff and watching Brad, and suddenly announced, "That guy is like this guy!"
We realized that she had rarely if ever seen the two of them together, and was only now discovering that they are not the same person.
We asked Birdy to name them. She did get Uncle Jeff right. But when asked who Uncle Brad was she only answered, "He is like that guy."
This is the same Uncle Brad that Birdy used to call Mark, probably confusing him with the baby-sitter's husband. Someday she will know who you are Brad. Maybe.
