Papper + New Carpet!

We were very blessed to have Papper (DMP's Dad) come visit a week or so ago and help install our new carpet. Not only did I get new carpet out of the deal, but the girls got to spend time with Papper whom they love lots, but don't get to see as often as Grandpa (who only lives 45 min. away).
As I said- Papper came to help install new carpet. The deal was supposed to be that he would bring his tools and experience and supervise DMP in the actual installation. As you can see from the picture above, it was mostly Papper working and DMP supervising. *Sigh*
When he wasn't working on the carpet, Papper got to relax and play with the grandkids. He even got along great with the third child. At one point when we were gone somewhere, he had both furbabies on his lap for a nap!

On Sunday, I was napping on the couch (sort of) and overheard Papper and EJ playing Mr. Potato Head in the kitchen. It was so sweet. Papper was talking to her in a pretend voice and everything. Then he let EJ use all of the play Dr. kit equipment on him- what a sport.

EJ and Birdy asked where he was first thing every morning and he let them snuggle and play with him the whole time! It was really great to have them spend some good one on one time with him :)

Before he left, DMP and the girls showed him around our Dino museum- he was impressed and had a great time with the girls.
Thanks again Papper for the carpet and for playing with the kiddos! Come back any time and bring Grandma!!

P.S. I'll publish pics of the new carpet as soon as my house is clean enough for such stuff. It hasn't been toy-less for a while and I'm too lazy to pick it all up :)
